You don’t need a WeLock account. Enable the integration once, then add each of your locks by the number printed on it.
Estimated setup time: 2 minutes, plus a minute per lock to add and assign it.
Before you start
- The device number printed on your WeLock lock (and, if you’re adding more than one, each of their numbers)
- A Best Guest account with owner or manager access
- A WeLock lock from 2019 or later — older models can’t be connected, see the FAQ below
Connect and sync
- In Best Guest, go to Settings → Smart Locks.
- Under WeLock, click Enable WeLock. No information of your own is needed for this step.
- Once enabled, use Add lock: enter the device number printed on your lock (and, optionally, a name), then submit.
- The lock is claimed and synced immediately — assign it to the listing it belongs to using the dropdown next to it.
Repeat step 3 for each additional lock. From here, Best Guest issues a door PIN automatically for every reservation on an assigned listing, ahead of arrival, and delivers it with the rest of your check-in instructions.
How the code works
WeLock codes are minute-precise and valid from the start of the guest’s arrival day to the end of their departure day, in your property’s own local time.
Unlike TTLock’s gateway-connected locks, a WeLock code can’t be cancelled early. If a reservation is cancelled, the code simply keeps working until its original window ends.
Troubleshooting
“This device number is already claimed by another account” — a WeLock device number can only belong to one Best Guest account at a time. If you’re certain the lock is yours, double check the number printed on it, or contact WeLock support if it appears to be claimed incorrectly.
A guest reports the code doesn’t work at all — first confirm the lock is a 2019-or-later model (see the FAQ). If it is, re-sync the lock in Best Guest and try regenerating the code from the reservation’s detail page.
Lock added but no PIN was issued — try syncing again; a code can’t be issued until the lock finishes syncing successfully.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own WeLock account?
No. You never create or manage a WeLock account — just add each lock you own by its device number.
Does every WeLock lock work with this?
Only WeLock locks made in 2019 or later work with Best Guest. If you're not sure how old your lock is, WeLock's own support can tell you from the model printed on it.
Can a WeLock code be cancelled early?
No — every WeLock code is tied to its own reservation and simply stops working once that window ends, whether the stay happened as planned or the reservation was cancelled.
